Root Canal

Endodontics or root canal treatment is the removal of the tooth's pulp, a small thread-like tissue inside the tooth. After the damaged, infected, or dead pulp is removed, the remaining space is cleaned, shaped, and filled.

This procedure seals the root canal. Previously, teeth with infected or affected pulp were extracted. Nowadays, root canal treatment saves many teeth that would normally be lost.

The most common causes of pulp damage or death are:

Cracked tooth
Deep caries
A tooth injury such as a severe blow, recent or old.

In addition to dentists specialized in the subject, VIP Dental Clinics uses digital imaging diagnostic equipment, providing all the conditions for professionals to perform an excellent job.

When the infected or dead pulp is not treated, pus can accumulate at the tip of the tooth root, inside the alveolar bone, forming an abscess. An abscess can destroy the bone around the tooth and cause pain.
